It's that time again, another year older (or are you counting backwards) and it's time to celebrate with your friends and family around you. BAR13 is the perfect Party Venue in York.

Choose from one of our two elegant and versatile function rooms to host your Party, or hire the whole venue exclusively for you and your guests.

If you hire the entire venue for your party, we'll open up the partition between the Vice Presidents Suite and the Galtres Suite giving your guests two bars and plenty of space to P.A.R.T.Y!

Your chosen party food will be served in the Directors Viewing box at a time that suits you and a Late Licence is available on request for a small fee to cover our staffs extra wages.

The food served at your Birthday Party celebration will depend on your budget, number of guests, formality, dietry requirements or personal taste.

You could choose a formal Sit Down Buffet, using a seating plan, or a more casual Sit Down Buffet with open seating. Starters, desserts and coffee will be served at your guests tables with a self service buffet for the main course. The buffet can be hot, cold or a mixture of both.

Finger Buffets are informal and one of the most economical options suited to all budgets. These are designed to be eaten with forks or fingers and would include sandwiches, cold pies, quiches, pastries, cakes and fruit. Perfect for many different sizes of Birthday Party and especially if you have many children as guests.

Drink to your Birthday @ BAR13

BAR13's two Bars are licensed to 1am and offer a full range of popular Lagers, Beers and Bitters on draft and bottled, a wide selection of delicious Red and White Wines and a variety of Spirits and Mixers.

Soft drinks come in varying measures on draft or in bottles, perfect for Designated Drivers. We also stock pure fruit juices and squash, all at suprisingly low prices over the bar compared with other licensed Birthday Party Venues and City Centre pubs.

For Buffet style Birthday celebrations, we can offer self service Jugs of fruit juice and/or squash on the buffet table.

Getting to and from BAR13

BAR13 is exceptionally well connected to the major road network in and around York (A1237 & A64) and benefits from being on a major bus route (Service 13A/13 from Copmanthorpe via York City Centre and Park & Ride Service 9 from York City Centre). Click here for Bus Timetables.

This is fine for travel during the day or early evening, but what if your Party is due to end late?

If your group of friends has a designated driver, we have plenty of onsite parking, room enough for hundreds of cars. You can find directions to BAR13 here.

If everyone want's to drink, then obviously, drink driving is out of the question. So, we have an agreement with a local Taxi firm that guarantees we can get cars to take you home whatever the time, whatever the time of year.
